Judith Lerner is a retired Special Education Teacher with 25 years experience in Vallejo Schools, and a deep commitment to our children and our community.
I became a teacher in Vallejo schools 25 years ago because I wanted to make a difference. I love living in this creative, vibrant, diverse city and I believe that Vallejo deserves excellent schools.
I’m running because even though I’m retired, I want to continue to advocate for the children of Vallejo. I want to help build a school district where every student feels safe and supported, where every family feels welcome and heard and where the people of Vallejo know that our public schools are well-managed and provide an excellent education for every student.

I’m committed to providing a great education to every student in our diverse community. I know the problems, have thought long and hard about concrete, realistic solutions. I’m ready to get to work building the great schools Vallejo deserves.
ENGAGEMENT
Together we can foster community partnerships and make connections, make sure every student and every family finds a home in Vallejo Schools, and support teachers, students and families so every individual feels seen, heard, cared for and appreciated.
EXCELLENCE
Students need an excellent education to succeed in a rapidly changing world. Increased test scores come from maintaining high academic standards while lifting all students up and meeting all needs. School climate improves when students feel valued and successful.
